原作者である神崎将臣先生公認のもと、「重機甲兵ゼノン」「XENON 199X・R」「ブルーバック」を再構成。さらに、ストーリー未確定部分を確定し、最終章まで突っ走る！

そしたらまさかのリプライが。

というわけで、「XENON REBOOT」が始まったのでした。（余談ですが、なぜか僕の行動の変化のタイミングに不思議と樹崎聖先生が絡んでくることが多い気がします。※あくまでも個人の感想です。）

 

So, "XENON REBOOT" started. (As an aside, for some reason, I feel that Mr.Takashi Kisaki is often involved in the timing of my behavioral changes, this is just my personal impression.)

というわけで、それまでは「ジャンプに載ってる先生の作品だから」とか言う理由で漫画を買っていた僕が、生まれてはじめてジャケ買いした漫画なので、思い入れもひとしおで・・・。しかも、このあと「重機甲兵ゼノン」という作品はいろいろと大人の事情に翻弄されるわけで・・・。（そこは多分僕よりも他のファンの方が詳しいかと思います・・・。なにせド田舎、雑誌もそんなに入ってこない・・・。）
 
I had been buying manga for reasons such as "because it's by a auther who appears in JUMP" until then, but this was the first manga I bought in a jacket for the first time in my life, so I was very attached to it. And after that, "Heavy Armored Warrior XENON" was tossed around by various adult situations... (I think other fans might be more interested in this than I was. (I think other fans probably know more about that than I do.... I'm in the countryside, and magazines don't come in that often...)
 
で、ある時まさかのコミックリュウにて「XENON 199X・R」として復活したのですが、その後、神崎先生が東日本大震災でだいぶ心的外傷を抱え込まれたみたい（「XENON 199X・R」のあとがきから推察するしかない）で、断筆。
 
So, one day, it was revived as "XENON 199X-R" in Comic Ryu, but after that, Mr. Kanzaki seems to have suffered a lot of trauma from the Great East Japan Earthquake (I guess from the postscript of "XENON 199X-R" There is no choice but to do it), and the writing is cut off.
 
それで先のツイートを見て僕が錯乱して手を上げてしまったわけです。

ちなみに当時はむっちゃ「ゼノン」の模写してました・・・。

神崎先生とのやり取り/Communication with Mr. Kanzaki

とまあ、そんなこんなで神崎先生と色々なやり取りをしていくうちに、なんでかプロットが見えてきちゃったんですよね…。それで、プロットを一旦紙に殴り書きして、Wordで清書。それをPDFにして神崎先生に送付した結果、帰ってきたお返事を見て魂が抜けてしまったわけで……。（その日は結局、夜も興奮のあまりよく眠れなかった。）

 

Well, while I was interacting with Mr.Kanzaki in various ways, I somehow came to see the plot... So, I scribbled the plot once on paper and made a clean copy in Word. When I turned it into a PDF and sent it to Mr.Kanzaki, I lost my soul when I saw the reply that came back... (After all, I couldn't sleep well at night because I was so excited.)

 

そして翌日からなぜかプロローグのネームを切り始めたのでした。

 

And from the next day, for some reason, I started cutting the name of the prologue.

 

で、ネームを切ってる日がちょうど正社員の仕事がお休みの日だったので、作業通話をしながらのネーム作業だったわけですが……。

 

So, the day I cut my name was a day off from work for regular employees, so I was working on my name while talking on the phone...

で、その時にネームをどうやって作っているのかという話になって、私は紙に描いてる、相手の方はデジタルに直接ネーム描いてる、ということで「氷室さんのネームが見たい」という話になり、プロローグの１ページめを写メ（OfficeLenzでスキャン）して送ったら、お通夜状態に……。

 

So, at that time, we started talking about how to make the name, and I drew it on paper, and the other person drew the name directly digitally, so we said, ``I want to see Mr. Himuro's name.'' Then, I took a copy of the first page of the prologue (scanned with OfficeLenz) and sent it to him.

 

なんでお通夜状態になったのかは察してください。（「それ」は重要なテーマのひとつなので、つらいが描かざるを得ない。）

 

Please understand why I was in a wake state. ("That" is one of the important themes, so I have to draw the pain.)

 

で、その後プロローグのネームも出来上がったので、神崎先生に送付しました。（普通の漫画の場合と違って、今回は最初に神崎先生のOKが出ないと進めないのです…。）

 

So, after that, the name of the prologue was also completed, so I sent it to Mr.Kanzaki.(Unlike normal manga, this time I can't proceed unless I get the OK from Mr. Kanzaki...)

ただのワガママ/L’EGOISTE

まあ、ぶっちゃけてしまいましたが。結局は僕のわがままなのですよね。エンディングが見たい、という。たびたび蔵書の整理（古書店に売却）を行っていた僕ですが、「XENON」だけはどうしても手元に置かれ続けた・・・。自分の中でどうしても諦めがつかなかったのでしょうね。

 

Well, I messed up. In the end, it's my selfishness, isn't it? I want to see the ending. I used to organize my collection of books (sold them to second-hand bookstores), but I couldn't help but keep "XENON" on hand. I guess I couldn't give up on myself.

 

それがまさか今こういう事になってるなんて、昔の自分に言ったらどんな反応するでしょうね。っていうか今まで色んな仕事をしてきたのは、全てこの時のためにあったのかもしれない・・・！　というか、そう思いたい・・・！

 

If I were to tell my old self that this is what happened now, how would he react? I mean, maybe all the work I've been doing up until now was for this moment...! "Or rather, I want to think so...!”
